I have over 25 years experience in education, from teaching preschool to graduate students. As a certified elementary teacher and mathematics middle school teacher, I have dedicated my career to supporting students and teachers in underserved, under resourced, and marginalized communities. I’ve taught all subjects, but teaching mathematics and science through technology-enhanced, inquiry-based instruction was my personal bliss when teaching children.
I earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from Stanford University. My scholarship focuses on supporting teachers and students with STEM digital game-based learning. I also hold an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Gannon University and a B.S. in Elementary Education from Geneva College.
As a teacher educator, I’ve taught math and STEM methods courses for undergraduates and graduate preservice students. I also spent several years as a math instructional coach supporting K-8 mathematics. I love supporting teachers in their craft. It’s always a learning experience for me.
I have one daughter, one grandson, and a legion of nieces and nephews!
